If I was going to make an action/comedy about guinea pigs, this is EXACTLY the movie I’d make. As a child I had a guinea pig (“Ralph S. Guinea Pig”) that looked just like the main little guy in this. Also, why aren’t Zach Galifianakis and I in love yet? This film is going to touch me on so many levels.

The Amazing Race is way more amazing than it sounds. I’m watching it this season because one of the teams features Mike White, who wrote School of Rock and is the human equivalent of Cute Overload. But then I realized Mike White is probably the fourth most entertaining person on the show, after his gay priest father Mel, and the team of Linda and Steve Cole. Linda and Steve are from Martinsville, Virgina and about as real as it gets. Unfortunately, they are as dumb as it gets and got kicked off in the second episode.

BUT! American dream, people! America! Are you with me?

Brooklyn, seasonally.

superscript:

It is unseasonably warm today. A welcome change from the freeze-your-face-off wind earlier this week. The changes in weather here are abrupt and sometimes cruel but I will always appreciate that New York has actual seasons. Winter is fucking wintry. Summer is crazy hot. And so on / so forth.

Here’s Brooklyn in the winter.

Here it is in summer.
